FEDERATED MEDIA
In the summer of 2010, just before his senior year of high school, Rob received a job at Federated Media, which owns the historic 1190 WOWO, one of the most popular and most successful stations in the Midwest.
Rob started as a part-time board op for ESPN 1380, producing Fort Wayne Tincaps broadcasts. He then became a producer for a few sports shows, and was occasionally a fill-in host. He also started assisting in the WOWO newsroom, writing and voicing stories.
By the summer of 2012, Rob had worked his way up to being an afternoon news anchor/reporter and a morning sports anchor/reporter. One week that summer, with the news director on vacation, 18-year-old Rob was put in charge of the newsroom. He gathered, wrote, and voiced stories, and handled hourly newscasts.
